Fun performing arts classes for adults come to Rose Hill
New for January, friendly, pressure-free acting, singing and dance classes for adults of all ages and abilities are coming to Rose Hill Community Centre. And on January 4th/5th or 11th/12th you can try a class for free!
The sessions are led by local actors, dancers and vocal coaches in a relaxed environment that is all about the enjoyment. The classes do not work towards a performance, so there is no need to learn pages of script. There are no solos, so no one is singled out. There are no auditions, no expectations of experience and never any pressure to do something you are not comfortable with.
Filter out these concerns, and what you are left with is the pure fun of it: you can expect to laugh a lot, and maybe tap into your inner creativity.
Frances, who has been taking the classes in Headington, said:
“I have learnt so much and feel more confident. The laughter factor has been so therapeutic and uplifting. The teachers have a passionate enthusiasm for what they teach, and want to share it with us.”
The classes are flexible too. The different disciplines of drama, singing and dance can be taken separately, or you can take classes in two or all three subjects.
As a special offer to welcome the class to its new home, on either the first or second week in January, you can book onto a taster class free of charge. If you love it, and want to continue, there is also is a reduced rate for Rose Hill residents.
Classes start on January 4th and are held on:
Wednesday mornings from: 10:30 to 12:30am
Thursday evenings from: 7 to 9pm.
