The Big Lottery Funded project is sadly coming to an end. The project has funded Rose Hill News for many years. Your Councillors and the Tenants and Residents Association heard how much this paper has come to mean to many of you.

So, for the last few months, we have worked hard to support its continuation and have committed a small amount of money to a community newspaper over the next couple of years. It takes money and volunteer commitment to keep the community newspaper running, so Rose Hill News will re-start in a small (but beautiful!) way, so that it is built to last.

There will be three issues per year and as your newspaper, be run by and for the people of Rose Hill. We are looking for enthusiastic local residents to get involved in writing, editing, taking photos, sorting out advertising and delivery of newspaper.

No experience is necessary; we will be looking for a minimum commitment of three to four hours per month and attendance at some great training run by The Community Media Group (who produce many local community newspapers), starting 1 February 2017.

If you are keen to learn, find out what’s going on, develop new skills and meet other local people, then why not register your interest at Rose Hill Community Centre or text/ call Val Churchill of the City Council’s Communities Team on 07789 920927. Alternatively, you can email: vchurchill@oxford.gov.uk to get more details
