Friends of Rivermead meeting

Oxford locals: Friends of Rivermead Nature park is hosting a virtual public meeting 12:30pm, 21st May, to discuss the fence in Rivermead Nature Park, restoring public access, and other future plans.

This meeting follows on from months of various talks and negotiations held with residents and The University of Oxford after a mental fence was put up in the reserve in August 2019, blocking public access to the area the University owns without initial prior public consultation.

Since the fence was put up, concerned residents re-formed the group called: ‘Friends of Rivermead’ in order to strengthen communication with all those who maintain and use the nature reserve.
