The Syrian Sisters recently invited the Oxford Concert Party to do a music workshop at one of their annual parties at Rose Hill Community centre. The children got to explore lots of different instruments that made strange sounds and worked as a group to create music. The children also got to direct the music with the help of their teachers. Some lovely Syrian inspired poetry was read out at the end of the session by a guest speaker. The Syrian Sisters group meets every Friday at the Community centre.
